Attention: U7 to U17 registered athletes!
ENTRIES CLOSE NEXT WEDNESDAY, 8 FEBRUARY 2017
The entry fee is $20 per athlete (if you get your entry in by 8 February). They will, however, accept late entries up to 15 February at an increased cost of $40 per athlete. This entry fee covers gate entry for athletes and parents/spectators. There will be a bit of ‘down time’, so once again they have organised some other activities to keep everyone occupied in between events, such as jumping castles etc.. Keep an eye on the Multi-Event page of our website for more information as final details of activities will be updated on the website soon.
As per previous years, large age groups will be split into smaller groups for ease of manageability. If you are interested in assisting as an Athlete Controller, please send an email to dlevy@lansw.com.au. The number of Athlete Controllers (age group manager) per age will be determined by the number of entries per age. At this time only a handful of applications for Athlete Controllers has been received. Remember that Athlete Controllers are with the children during their events, so this is a good opportunity for you to be up close and watch your child in action!!! If they haven’t been able to get enough Athlete Controllers by the time entries close. An email will be sent to all parents of registrants asking for further volunteers. Age groups requiring controllers are the U7 through to U13 age groups. The older ages, eg. U14, U15 & U17 do not need an adult athlete controller, but will require one of these athletes in each age group to be in charge of paperwork etc. If you would like to do this, please let me know.
From their performances at this event, three (3) boys and (3) girls from the U15 age group will be selected to become members of the 2017 Little Athletics NSW State Team and will compete in the Multi-Event at the Australian Little Athletics Championships, which will be held this year in Sydney at Sydney Olympic Park Athletic Centre on Saturday & Sunday, 22 & 23 April, 2017. If you are interested in attending this carnival, don’t leave it until the last minute to submit your entry – you may miss out!! So get together a group from your centre and come along and join the FUN!
